The BRICS Committee for International Cooperation in Health Care was initiated by the high-level meeting of BRICS ministers of health and traditional medicine. It was formally established at the 10th BRICS Leaders Summit held in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2018. It is a non-profit organization with its headquarters in port elizabeth, South Africa. The Golden Health Commission aims to promote health care in BRICS countries, promote the combination of traditional medicine and modern medical technology in BRICS countries, and promote exchanges and cooperation in related fields.
