In a significant move toward sustainable industry collaboration, Fujian Longmei Medical Technology Co., Ltd. welcomed a high-level delegation from Canfor Pulp Ltd. (Canada) and Xiamen Light Industry Group on June 25 to visit and inspect its Phase II facility of the Smart Wet-Laid Biodegradable Medical Material Project.
The delegation included Mr. Fu Fuqiang, Vice General Manager of Xiamen Light Industry Group, Mr. Brian Yuen, Vice President of Canfor Pulp Ltd., and Mr. Brendon Palmer, Director of Technical Marketing. They were warmly received by Mr. Liu Senmei, Chairman of Longmei, who provided a comprehensive overview of the company’s development history, technological innovations, and future strategic plans.

Showcasing Biodegradable Nonwoven Fabric Innovation
During the site tour, the delegation was introduced to the design and operation of Longmei’s second-phase biodegradable nonwoven production lines. The focus was on environmentally friendly wet-laid nonwoven materials and the company's advancements in sustainable manufacturing technologies.
Mr. Brian Yuen commented that although they have visited many nonwoven fabric manufacturers across China, Longmei stood out for its product consistency, smart manufacturing capabilities, and strong commitment to sustainability. He praised Longmei’s forward-thinking approach and expressed strong interest in future cooperation, particularly in raw material optimization and product development.

In-Depth Technical Exchange on Northwood Pulp Application
Following the site visit, a technical symposium was held at Longmei’s headquarters. The three parties shared insights into their company histories, core products, and global market strategies. A focused discussion ensued on the key performance characteristics of Northwood pulp, including dust content, fiber strength, length, and grade classification—particularly its compatibility with various nonwoven processes.
The parties reached broad consensus on optimizing raw material performance, ensuring stable pulp supply, and jointly developing innovative end-use products. This lays a strong foundation for deeper future cooperation in the field of biodegradable and environmentally friendly materials.

A New Chapter in Sino-Canadian Green Industry Collaboration
This visit marks a milestone in Longmei’s journey to becoming a leading force in the global biodegradable nonwoven fabric industry. It also signifies a powerful step forward in the integration of upstream and downstream players in the green supply chain between China and Canada.
Looking ahead, Longmei remains committed to innovation-driven, sustainable development, working closely with top-tier international partners like Canfor Pulp Ltd. to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of biodegradable nonwoven technologies.
Together, we are charting a new course toward a greener future.
